1. THE PINES FILMED SESSIONS

The Pines Neurodevelopmental Service in Highland films have been made in asociation with The National Autistic Society Scotland and Chip+.

Telling Your Child About a Diagnosis

Knowing what to tell a child can be very difficult for parents and carers. This positive presentation emphasises that autism is a difference, not a deficit, and looks at how, when and what to tell a child about their diagnosis.Speaker: Rachael Geddes.

Structured Play to Support Communication

Managing Change to Reduce Anxiety
This session was filmed in November 2018 and features Pines Neurodevelopmental Practitioner Rachael Geddes. Rachael looks at the changes in everyday life, why change causes anxiety and how to manage the change to help keep anxiety as low as possible.

2. FRAZZLED FRED'S GUIDE TO THE SENSORY WORLD OF AUTISM

Based on the Pines book of the same name, this video looks at the sensory issues surrounding autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Featuring Rachael Geddes and Sharon Morris from the Pines team, the film looks at the different senses, hyper and hypo sensitivity and how to best support a child with sensory issues. 4. ST CLEMENTS PRACTICAL AUTISM VIDEO GUIDES

Consult Yo LTD and St Clements School have collaborated on a unique and innovative new resource.
Funded by the Autism & Innovation Fund, they have produced a series of videos on practical skills for supporting autistic people.
These fabulous vIdeos were launched in March 2017 and are available on YouTube and The Pines Website.
